Champion is a 200 cm, high-performing bajra hybrid producing 2–3 tillers, with a compact, oval panicle and very bold grains. It matures in 80 days and yields 45–50 q/ha. The hybrid features dark green leaves, thick stems, excellent fodder yield, high disease tolerance, and strong response to improved management.

Everything You Need To Know About Bajra
Bajra Fodder hybrid has the ability to produce numerous tillers and can grow tall up to 12-14 feet. It has stay green character for longer period.
Bajra fodder hybrid is more tolerant to drought than sorghum. Fodder crops can be grown well on a wide range of soil type, well drained soils are most suitable. Avoid acidic and saline soils.
Weed Control: 1 kg Atrazine 50% WP per acre in recommended for better weed management.
Tips for better yield
- Seed rate: 5-6 kgs per acre
- Sowing: Summer, Kharif and Rabi (only where the temperature doesn’t go too low)
- Fertilizer: 5 to 6 tons of F.Y.M per acre. N: P: K, 15:20:15 (Basal dose) N.30K (60 kg Urea) after 15 days of germination and 50 kg Urea after every cut.
- Important: Cutting should be taken just before the boot leaf stage cur 4” to 6” from the ground level.
